                                   Designed in 1849 by William Buttefield (1814-1900).

                                   Some of the stained glass is Pugin. 

                                   Alfington (not to be confused with Alphington) is 2 miles NE 

                                          of Ottery Sy Mary.

264 - Charles Fowler: St Paul, Honiton, Devon, 1836-38.

                                   Designed in 1836-38 by Charles Fowler (1792-1867).  
                                   Originally it had an iron roof, but there were problems with this, and
                                   it was replaced by a conventional one in 1849, by Carver & Giles. 
                                   The church is in the centre of Honiton.
