225 - S. S. Teulon: St James, Leckhampstead, Berkshire, 1859-60.

                     Designed in 1859 by Samuel Sanders Teulon, (1812-73). 

                     Leckhampstead is 7.5 miles north of Newbury, and the church is in
                            Shop Lane, at RG20 8QQ.

Mysterious weight on a chain - possibly used to raise the font lid.
